Student-Generated Pre-Approved Activity, Level IV
Students will design an activity and complete the Student Generated Activity Proposal form (web link). The activity needs to be approved before implementation. The Interdisiciplinary Workgroup will determine the amount of points awarded for the activity. (Contact Michelle Conley, maconley@utmb.edu). The activity should: Meet student’s individual educational goals and interests. Be interdisciplinary. The activity needs to include participants from at least one other discipline. The following are NOT considered to be outside your discipline: Clinical Laboratory Science: - Pathology Occupational Therapy: - Rehabilitation Medicine - Orthopedics - Sports Medicine Physician Assistant Studies: - Family Medicine - General Internal Medicine - Obstetrics & Gynecology Physical Therapy: - Orthopedics - Rehabilitation Sciences - Sports Medicine Respiratory Care: - Pulmonary Medicine Document your Learning tool to include the following: Write a summary of the activity and the concepts learned. Include a critical reflection of how the concepts relate to your field or interests. Any personal reaction to the activity should be included as well. Write a concluding paragraph where you consider the interdisciplinary implications of the activity. Did the activity illustrate ways in which different disciplines could work more as a team? What did you learn that you could implement?
