Team Interviews
(15 points)

Dates: To be scheduled individually.

Participation: Open to all students.

Activity: Select a health profession outside of your discipline that you want to learn more about and foresee working with in the future. Set up an appointment with a profession working in the field and interview him/her. You will find out the profession's role in healthcare (type of patients seen, where this profession works and the sub-specialities, the equipment used, how their position is funded, and the other health care professions with whom they work. Identify issues facing this profession. Ask for examples of the specific relationship they have with your profession.

Description Activities:

  1. Set up an appointment with your identified professional. Interview him/her to find out information spelled out above.
  2. Before going on the interview, read on the internet about the profession on the profession's national association website. As you read, make notes to interview the professional.
  3. Write a 300 word reflection on how your profession does/could work with the profession you are studying. Include the example you heard from the professional. Are the issues the professional listed also concerns of your profession? What did you learn that would help you work with this professional?
